Summary
A series of ω-hydroxyalkylfla-vins with 2 to 6 carbon chain lengths are shown to markedly enhance the utilization of normally suboptimal amounts of riboflavin given to growing rats. These analogs cannot function in place of the vitamin, but may decrease its metabolic destruction.
