Abstract
Summary
It was demonstrated by X-ray diffraction that bone mineral from mature cows, humans and Wistar rats, contained a non-crystalline calcium phosphate in addition to the well-known apatite phase. X-ray diffraction technique was described for determination of the percent of this amorphous (non-crystalline) material present in bone mineral, or synthetic mixtures.
