Summary
The TSR of 27 female rats was estimated at the ages of 25, 55, 85 and 115 days. A marked reduction (42.1%) from a TSR of 1.52 μg L-T4/100 g bw when started at the age of 25 days to 0.88 μg L-T4/100 g bw when started at the age of 115 days was observed. The reduction in TSR at 55, 85 and 115 days age was respectively 19.7%, 9.8% and 20% from that of the previous month.
