Abstract
Summary
Calves were experimentally infected with a bovine adenovirus using various routes of inoculation. Respiratory illness was observed in calves inoculated either intranasally or intratracheally. The virus had no effect on calves infected via the eye. Control calves remained normal throughout the experiment. The virus was recovered principally from rectal swabs of infected calves for 7 days. All infected calves responded serologically to the virus.
