Summary
Urinary excretion of bound hydroxyproline (HP) was significantly decreased in young growing rats treated with diphenylhydantoin, a drug known to increase insoluble collagen. The results suggest the diminished bound HP excretion is related to a decreased pool of soluble collagen.
