Summary
The interaction between M. bovis and the J-111 cell was influenced by the serum component of a yeast extract-serum nutrient medium. Anti-BCG hyperimmune serum enhanced phagocytosis, suppressed intracellular growth, and prevented loss of infected cells to a greater extent than did normal or antityphoid sera.
