Abstract
Summary
A simplified procedure for radiothyroidectomy of large numbers of juvenile steelhead trout (alevins or fry) is described. Complete destruction of thyroid tissue was achieved 8 to 14 weeks after immersion in a solution of radioiodine in lake water (initial concentration: 12.5 or 25 μc 1-131/cc for 8 days).
