Summary
The gastric and pancreatic secretory responses to gastrin, secretin, Cecekin, and Urecholine have been studied in conscious dogs with gastric and pancreatic fistulas. Dose response curves to secretin, Cecekin, and gastrin were compared with similar responses obtained using a background of Urecholine stimulation. Although augmentation of the gastric secretory response to gastrin by Urecholine was confirmed, no augmentation of the pancreatic responses to these stimuli was seen.
