Abstract
Summary
The existence of all the enzymes of Tricarboxylic Acid Cycle in granulation tissue was demonstrated by the increase in oxygen consumption in the presence of appropriate intermediates. No effect was observed with added glucose and values for aerobic and anaerobic lactic acid production by 10-day-old granulation tissue were identical. These results suggest the absence of Pasteur effect at this stage of wound healing.
