Abstract
Summary
The normal urinary protein of rats of 3 inbred strains and one non-inbred stock was examined by gel filtration and ultracentrifugation. A considerable portion of the total urinary protein was found to be of low molecular weight, especially in the males. In the case of male rats of the Buffalo strain, the major urinary protein fraction isolated by gel filtration and two subfractions of it prepared by ion exchange chromatography had molecular weights of the order of 15,000.
