Abstract
Summary
The effects of norepinephrine, angiotensin and PLV-2 on survival of rats after traumatic, intestinal ischemia and endotoxin shock were compared. Epinephrine and angiotensin did not significantly influence survival in all 3 types of experimental shock. PLV-2 was significantly effective in traumatic and intestinal ischemia shock but not in endotoxemia. In the latter, the possible relationship of time of onset of drug therapy to the course of endotoxin shock was suggested.
