Abstract
Summary
Dimetridazole has been shown to be toxic to turkeys(3), chickens(1), and chick embryos (4). It has also been shown to decrease certain physiologic values in chicks(4). The data presented here indicate that the drug inhibits growth of N. sitophila and L. casei and that it can be, to some extent, metabolized by L. casei.
