Abstract
Summary
Transaminase studies were made of control (Group I) and unilaterally nephrectomized (Group II) dogs. Transaminase determinations were made of serum, urine and cerebrospinal fluid of both groups (Table I). There was increased SGOT and SGPT level but a decreased UGOT and UGPT level as a result of unilateral nephrectomy. Removal of one kidney had little effect upon the transaminase enzyme level in the cerebrospinal fluid.
