Summary
Dogs given nitrogen mustard in near-lethal and supra-lethal amounts were not protected against the toxic effects of the drug by an infusion of isogeneic marrow. The rapid marrow recovery exhibited by the survivors not given marrow indicated that stem cells are relatively undamaged by toxic doses of nitrogen mustard.
