Abstract
Summary
Hyaluronic acid isolated from Rous sarcoma was found to have an unusual effect on the precipitation reaction with cation detergent and ECTEOLA column chromatography, and to have an apparently smaller particle size than hyaluronic acid from normal tissues. This preparation exhibited promoting effects upon the spreading of a dye in tissue and upon capillary permeability. A possible role in the invasion properties of tumors is indicated.
