Summary
Prior acclimation of either or both the donor and host to reduced barometric pressure prolongs the retention of skin homotransplants in mice. Spleen and thymus studies suggest that the increased tolerance of acclimated mice to skin homo-transplants may be due to an alteration of the animal's immunological state.
