Summary
Presnisolone, but not desoxy-corticosterone, administration reverses the anti-hypertensive effect of quinethazone. The elevation of blood pressure is associated with an increase in concentration of arterial muscle potassium through the mobilization of cellular water. The direct influence of potassium on arterial tone may be involved in this relationship.
