Summary
Fibrosarcoma induced in the pituitary by feeding 3-MC to a castrated male Sprague-Dawley rat, has been transplanted into the medullary cavity of the femur in female animals. Growth progress within the bone has been successfully demonstrated by X-rays. Parathyroidectomy prior to introduction of the tumor significantly prolongs the survival time of the animal.
