Summary
Various methods were examined in an effort to adapt a non-neurotropic line of the IHD strain of vaccinia virus to the central nervous system of the adult mouse. This was accomplished only by passing the virus serially in mouse brain, beginning with the 1-day-old mouse, and gradually increasing the age.
