Abstract
Summary
The capacity and affinity of avian plasma proteins for triiodothyronine are less than those for thyroxine. The half-lives of thyroxine and of triiodothyronine in avian blood plasma are approximately equal: the half-life of triiodothyronine in cardiac tissue is consistently less than that of thyroxine.
