Summary
Immunological sympathectomy does not protect rats against the hepatotoxic properties of CCl4. This substantiates the idea that sympathetic discharge in and of itself is not responsible for development of the lesion. However, adrenal demedullation seems to alter the pattern of the lesion, in that hydropic degeneration becomes more extensive after demedullation.
