Abstract
Summary
Acetyl strophanthidin was infused intravenously into 9 dogs at a constant rate of 6 μg/kg/min until death occurred. After the establishment of ventricular tachycardia, isopropyl methoxamine was administered intravenously at dose levels ranging from 2-12 mg/kg. This resulted in temporary conversion to sinus rhythm in all cases.
