Summary
The preparation of an insoluble particle having some of the enzymatic properties of thrombin has been accomplished by coupling thrombin to a copolymer of p-amino-DL-phenylalanine and L-leucine. Esterase thrombin activity is easily demonstrable and some clot forming activity is preserved.
