Summary
Intraperitoneal injection of concentrates of methyl linoleate hydroperoxide into adult rats was lethal at a level of about 150 μm per 100 g. Previous injection of equal amounts of tocopherol or ethoxyquin did not change the LD50 level. Sixteen hundred but not 800 μm per 100 g were lethal when administered by stomach tube.
