Summary
1. The maximal bicarbonate and amylase output of the pancreas in response to secretin and pancreozymin was determined in 15 dogs and compared with the weight of the gland. 2. A highly significant correlation was demonstrated between pancreatic weight and maximal bicarbonate output, but not between pancreatic weight and amylase output.
