Abstract
Summary
Inoculation of 3 volunteers with adenovirus type 16 produced an afebrile, non-purulent conjunctivitis associated in one case with slight corneal involvement. All subjects shed virus from inoculated eyes, throat and rectum. The failure to demonstrate HI antibody in these men was similar to the finding observed in children naturally infected with this same serotype.
