Summary
The mammogenic activity of LTH and STH was demonstrated when injected in combination with 1 μg, but not 2 or 4 μg, of estradiol dipropionate. Injecting either 2 or 4 μg of estrogen with 2 mg LTH failed to stimulate mammary growth greater than that produced by either 2 μg estrogen alone or 1 μg of estrogen plus 1 mg LTH. Mammary growth was not enhanced when STH was given with LTH to rats receiving 2 μg estrogen.
