Abstract
Summary
1. Treatment of mice with synthetic PL or PG regularly inhibited hepatic, and frequently also splenic, phagocytosis of subsequently injected Cr51-labeled sheep red cells. 2. This inhibition was roughly proportional to the dose of polyamino acid, and disappeared after approximately one week. 3. The interference with phagocytosis was offered as an explanation for the previously reported depression of formation of antibodies in mice treated with PL.
