Abstract
Summary
By serial sampling at 10- to 20- minute intervals, electrolytes and water secretion per minute were measured in dog Heidenhain pouch juice after stimulation with histamine. Thirty to 60 minutes after the beginning of stimulation, a highly significant correlation of K+ to H+ was observed. The regression coefficient of K+ on H+ ranged from 0.006 to 0.082 in 11 experiments. The early high K+ output after histamine is still under investigation.
