Summary
Administration of sodium selenite reduced the severity of muscular dystrophy in rats fed Vit. E-free diets, with adequate or low protein content. The effect of selenite was more evident when dystrophic lesions were not severe. Selenite was without effect on muscular dystrophy in Vit. E-deficient guinea pigs.
