Summary
Immature male rats were fed a natural food stock ration supplemented with graded levels of trypsin, chymotrypsin or proteolytic enzymes derived from Carica papaya. A marked hypertrophy of the submaxillary glands occurred in rats fed the above diets in contrast to those of rats fed the unsupplemented stock ration.
