Abstract
Summary
Difluoromalonic acid and its di-amide inhibit the oxidation of a number of organic acids by a strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa although no inhibition could be demonstrated in sonicates of the cells. The di-amides of monofluoromalonic, tetrafluoro-succinic and hexafluoroglutaric acids are essentially inactive.
