Summary
Five to six days following the termination of a 5-day treatment of rats with TEM (0.2 mg/kg daily), the weight and capacity of the dorsolateral prostate to take up Zn65 was diminished, indicative of a diminished androgen level. Dorsolateral prostate weight and Zn65 uptake were maintained in TEM-treated rats by administration of testosterone, pituitary ICSH or chorionic gonadotropin.
