Summary
Methylcholanthrene was inoculated subcutaneously into new-born germfree and conventional mice (Swiss-Webster strain). Pulmonary adenomas were thereby induced more frequently and in greater numbers in the germfree animals. Viral agents have not been detected in the adenoma tissues by electron microscopy.
