Abstract
Summary
The presence of NaEDTA in the lumen of isolated canine jejunal segments in situ produced significant enhancement of intestinal absorption of heparinoid as measured by the disappearance of heparinoid from the lumen. Increases in clotting time of recalcified citrated plasma accompanied the enhanced absorption and verified that the heparinoid had been absorbed without loss of anticoagulant activity.
