Summary
Pretreatment with reserpine (0.1 mg/kg/day) for 7 to 28 days causes a significant increase in the sensitivity of the cat heart to catecholamine-induced arrhythmias. There is some indication that the sensitivity increases progressively with increased duration of reserpine treatment.
