Abstract
Summary
Experiments were carried out in an attempt to determine the effects of D2O administration on incorporation of P32 into rat liver DNA. With increasing concentrations of D2O, there was a progressive decrease in DNA synthesis; in rats in which 30% of the body water was replaced by D2O the incorporation of P32 into DNA was reduced to about one-fifth of normal.
