Abstract
Summary
Hibernation in the ground squirrel is accompanied by increases in hepatic and kidney catecholamine content and no change in cardiac content. Cold torpor in the turtle was not accompanied by significant changes in catecholamine content of heart, liver or kidney.
Our thanks to Dr. Douglas E. Smith of the Division of Biological and Medical Research, Argonne National Laboratory, for supplying the ground squirrels.
