Abstract
Summary
Treadmill experiments were carried out on dogs with indwelling arterial and venous catheters. The plasma free fatty acids level rapidly decreases during exercise, due to the rise of the blood lactic acid concentration, as was shown by lactic acid infusions in resting dogs. A logarithmic correlation was found between plasma free fatty acid and blood lactic acid concentration.
