Summary
Some properties of an unidentified infectious agent found in the organs of BALB/c mice with a transplanted reticulum cell sarcoma are described. The most striking effect of the agent was to cause a 2-4-fold increase in spleen weight of all mouse strains tested within a week. The agent is not the LDH factor. Its relation to Eperythrozoon coccoides is discussed.
