Abstract
Summary
(1) Urinary calcium excretion and creatinine clearance were measured in 8 patients before and after hypophysectomy for advanced breast cancer. (2) Mean creatinine clearance for the group was lower than in patients in an earlier stage of metastatic breast cancer. (3) No consistent changes in urinary calcium excretion could be correlated either with polyuria, spontaneous interphase, or vasopressin-induced reduction in urinary volume.
