Summary
Sediments obtained from platelet-rich plasma allowed to clot for 1 hour contain full platelet-thromboplastic or factor 3 activity. Sediments obtained from recalcified platelet-rich plasma in the early phase of clotting contain thrombin and appear to be inhibitory to normal thromboplastin generation.
