Abstract
Summary
1. Eight dimethylhydrazone derivatives of the sex hormones have been examined for anabolic, androgenic, estrogenic, and progestational activities in standard assay procedures in rats. 2. The dimethylhydrazone substituent induced a significant reduction in absolute activity relative to the parent compound, but it did not obliterate the qualitative separation of anabolic-androgenic activities in the 19-nortes-tosterone derivative.
