Abstract
Summary
Microorganisms were demonstrated by direct smears and cultures of uterine fluid in immature and mature mice and in uterine tissue sections. Incidence of uterine contamination varied from strain to strain. Contamination persisted in the luminal fluid of hydrouteri. However, Gram-negative bacteria increased and Gram-positive organisms decreased during accumulation of uterine fluid.
