Summary
1. Plasma thromboplastin antecedent (PTA) levels are normal in patients receiving Dicumarol, Coumadin, or phenylindanedione. 2. PTA levels are depressed in patients with Laennec's cirrhosis. Degree of depression parallels prothrombin time value.
