Abstract
Summary
In both cells and plasma, alloxanized rats had significantly lower concentrations of protein-bound hexosamine than normal animals. In diabetic patients under insulin control, values were normal. Concentration of protein-bound hexosamine was twice as high in plasma and erythrocytes of normal rats as in normal human beings.
