Summary
1. Mouse plasma lipid and lipoprotein fatty acids were evaluated by gas chromatography. 2. The plasma cholesteryl ester fraction contained a high percentage of polyunsaturated acids, linoleic (50.1%) and arachidonic (29.9%). 3. Mouse fatty acid data were compared with human values. 4. Concentration of albumin-bound NEFA in mouse plasma was found to be significantly higher than normally present in humans.
