Summary
Injection of complement (guinea pig serum) into the laboratory albino mouse failed to alter capacity of these animals to withstand parenterally induced bacterial infection with K. pneumoniae or S. typhimurium. Addition of complement to mouse serum failed to induce bactericidal activity in vitro.
