Summary
1. Haptoglobin hemoglobin complex labelled with Fe59! or I131 injected into 13 rabbits was removed from the blood with half times of 110 minutes and 78 minutes respectively. 2. The complex did not significantly interfere with phagocytosis of carbon particles by the reticuloendothelial system and was not selectively removed by the liver during a single passage.
