Summary
Ultracentrifuge analysis confirms that polyanion-complex precipitation method for human serum β-lipoproteins is adequate and does not denature the lipoproteins when either rice starch sulfate or mepesulfate are used as precipitating agent. The method is applicable to isolation of β-lipoproteins from several but not all species of animals.
